1934 Buck Rogers Century of Progress Brass Key Fob

1934 Buck Rogers Century of Progress Brass Key Fob

Unpolished example of a Buck Rogers in the 25th Century brass key chain fob. It was given away during the 1933-34 Chicago World's Fair. A small 1/8" hole was intentionally made to hang it on your key chain. The front (obverse) includes a blank profile of Buck along with his name and 25th century logo.

The reverse was stamped with the outline of a gear symbolizing American industry and "I Was There" in the center. "Century of Progress" and "Chicago 1934" were included around the perimeter.

Fob is brass which is a zinc/copper alloy. Brass is subjective to decomposition with volatile ammonia which develops its well known greenish hue. It's non-magnetic.

Pads, pencils, and puzzles were also given away as Buck Rogers premiums during the Fair.

Size: 1" diameter.

Sold: Dec. 2011
